Your images never leave your device
Most "free" compressors upload your photo to a server you know nothing about. This one cannot: the compression engine is JavaScript running in your browser, using the same Canvas and Blob APIs that render the web. There is no upload endpoint, no queue and no storage.
Open your browser's Network inspector while you compress — you will not see your image being sent anywhere. Re-encoding also strips EXIF metadata, including GPS location.
