OPTIMIZE IMAGE compresses images entirely inside your web browser using the standard Canvas, OffscreenCanvas and Blob APIs. There is no upload endpoint, no processing server and no storage bucket involved in compression.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and compress an image. You will see no request carrying your file.

We do not collect or store your images, filenames, image dimensions or any content derived from your files. We do not require an account, and we never ask for your name, email address or payment details.

Re-encoding also strips EXIF metadata, including camera details and GPS coordinates, from the file you download.

We record anonymous, aggregated product events such as 'a compression started' or 'a download happened', together with non-identifying properties like the chosen output format or target size bucket. These events contain no image data and no personal information, and they are used only to understand which features people rely on.

We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any storage used is limited to essential technical operation of the site.

Compression requires no third-party API, paid service or external processing. The site is served as static files plus the JavaScript that runs the compressor on your device.

If this policy changes we will update this page. Because the architecture is client-side by design, the core promise — your images are never uploaded — will not change.
